Tampere Film Festival will be held in March 2000 for the 30th time.

Tampere Film Festival started in 1970 from the enthusiasm of cinema club activists and has developed into a magnificent event of quality and fun for short film buffs. On top of the nearly one hundred screenings the festival offers discussions and seminars. The international short film market has been arranged from mid-90's and attracts every year hundreds of professionals all over the world.

During the 1999 festival altogether 26 000 visitors attended the happening.
