He is both possessed by the woman, and jealous of his roommate who can see her every day...

Three 90 seconds audio visual stories. Formaly and narratively films are situated in the terrain between short fiction and advertisement.

A short fragmented detective story in four parts. It is studying the rules of mastering spaces and it plays with the conventions of suspense films, thrillers anf horror films; it's camera work is expressive. The film defines the position of the spectator: it puts the viewer in the position of a stalker and the elements of incompleteness and inconsistency push the viewer to realize his own obsessive investment in the story making sense.

At times in a decadent milieu, at times having fun in the sun, the grotesque wax characters amuse themselves to the beat of Bloody Bells and Bubba Skinner performed by Elevators.

The video is shot using a thermograph, which is an industrial device for measuring variations of temperature. The ghostly impression of this technique suits perfectly with the dramatic quality of Maritta Kuula's song.

Las Nueve Vidas/Petri Kotwica/Finland/1999
Film about a bass player in a Latino who needs to take a leak, and gets lost in a forest behind the dance pavilion and on the icy surface of the sea. The night of horror surprisingly turns into a fishing trip when he dives into a hole in the ice dodging a passing cruise ship and a fishnet is caught in the tip of his sharp-pointed shoe.

Fahrradfahren ist notwendig/M.A.Numminen & Sökö Kaukoranta/Finland/1999
In the song praising the beneficial health effects of cycling the person riding the bicycle is not, however, the singer himself, but actress Anneli Sauli: Numminen is sitting in the back seat of the bicycle and joyfully breathing in the air.

Risto is an interesting summary, with a humorous and understanding narrative, of the life of Risto Kautto, a little big man from Helsinki. Risto Kautto is a retired researcher of the Finnish Film Archive.

Satir about a film-maker in his forties. The "documentary" takes an interesting turn when the film-maker doubting his own "artistry" introduces a documentary-maker to a collegue of his, Elias, a performance artist who lives in a pile of wood chippings.

Marlowesque film about retired persons' afternoon dances in Helsinki. The principal character, Maisa, is at a restaurant alone for the first time, and she hides her insecurity in the guise of fatality, acting cool and observing the others.

Beautiful film like a Japanese wood engraving; tender and poetic, leaving room for verbal expression alongside with the image.

A film about the fine line between the visible and the invisible. The protagonist is engaged in a wordless dialogue with his alter ego formed by light, for whom everything is possible. it si a ghost, another level of the mind, a spirit that does what the mind confined to the body is not capable of.Or which one is the alter ego, after all?

Viimeinen kesäpäivä / The Last Summer Day
Markku Pölönen/Finland/1999
Story about Mikko whose best friend's little brother in ran over by a truck. An ice-clear description of the moment when the turquoise bubble of dreams and trust surrounding the child is broken. Desbite its solemn theme, in the end of the film the viewer is released through satiric buoyancy to healing laughter.

Helsinki kulttuuripääkaupunki 2000 / Helsinki the Cultural Capital 2000
Tero Jartti /Finland/1999
Filmed at the Steam Club in the Lepakko House. Documentary lasting for the duration of a rock tune by Melrose, about a regular November evening at the club. Lepakko House will be torn down by the city in year 1999.
