Tampere
International Short Film Festival has established itself as
one of the significant annual cultural events in Finland.
The festival, which has been held every year since 1970, is
well known in Finland as well as the rest of the world. For
five days in March, Tampere is positively seething, as film

its 90 screenings.
The programme
consists of an international short film competition, a Finnish

the festival is bursting with various side activities: exhibitions,
