 Juries
The jury of the International Competition consists
of Ian Toews, the Grand Prix winner 2000 (Canada); Nikolai
Nikitin, editor-in-chief of the film magazine Schnitt (Germany);
Norma Rivera, the leading coordinator of Filmoteca at the
Art Museum in Lima (Peru); Satwant Gill, the Festivals and
Events Manager at the Television and Film Department of British
Council (United Kingdom); and Mika Taanila, a famous filmmaker
specialized in short films (Finland).
The jury
of the Finnish Competition includes Helena Ylänen, the film
critic of Helsingin Sanomat; Antti Pesonen, the editor of
MovieFile on MoonTV; and Katariina Lillqvist, a well-known
Finnish animator. The Risto Jarva Jury members are producer
Mika Ritalahti, business consultant of the Finnish Film Foundation
Niina Otva and production consultant of the Finnish Film Foundation
Petri Rossi.
Prizes
The
jury will award the following prizes to the film directors:
- Grand
Prix: Festival trophy "Kiss" & 25.000 FIM for the best film
in the International Competition
- Category
Prizes: "Kiss" & 5000 FIM for the best film in each category
- Special
Prize of the Jury: "Kiss" & 5000 FIM
- Prix
UIP Tampere: 2000 Euros and a nomination for the Best European
Short Film Award 2001
- Diplomas
of Merit
- A
Diploma of Merit will be awarded to the best film of the
International Competition voted by the audience.
- A
Participation Diploma will be given to every film selected
to participate in the International Competition. min.
