Digital is the catchword of the moment, and the impact of
digital filmmaking can be felt at this year's Tampere Film
Festival, too. From the United States, RESFEST Digital Film
Festival will be stopping by to give us an idea of what filmmaking
will be like in the future.
RESFEST
has previously toured the United States and the Far East with
considerable success, and is now preparing to take Europe
by storm, beginning in Tampere in March. RESFEST will be presenting
the audience a selection of digitally produced films. There
will be four screenings: RESFEST Shorts, Long Shorts, Netcinema
Shorts and the feature-length animation Wave Twisters.

Syd Garon as well as Eric Henry will be special guests at
this year's festival. Tampere Film Festival also presents
a seminar on the distribution of digital film via Internet
and broadband networks, as well as another on digital film
production.
