The catchword for filmmakers in the beginning of the new millennium
is no doubt digitality. More artists than ever are making
moving images empowered by affordable and easy-to-use digital
tools which allow a combining revolutionary creativity with
a small budget. However, digitality is no longer only for
the anarchists of the trade. Even some mainstream directors
have ditched traditional film cameras in favour of the DV-cam.

Some
facts still remain. Films are made by people, not by advanced
technology. Without great ideas and good stories there are
no films worth watching.
The Seminar
on Digital Film will take a closer look at digital film concentrating
on production and distribution. Pioneers and professionals
of digital filmmaking and technology are ready to share their
wisdom and exchange ideas with the audience. The concept of
digitality is broad and the subject itself is inspiring and
even provocative. Hopefully the Seminar on Digital Film will
spark up a lively and open-minded discussion on the changing
ways of filmmaking.
