Micromovies Seminar
March 8, 2002 - Tampere Hall - Tampere, Finland
The Micromovies Seminar will map out the potential for new forms of moving picture. The seminar will concentrate on new technologies, content production and commercial distribution of micromovies. There will also be demos and presentations of both technical solutions and published contents. Selected films from Micromovies Competition will be screened throughout the day. The seminar will give a wide perspective on relations between micromovies, mobile devices and the Internet.
The seminar is aimed at professionals and all other contributors in the field. The programme includes international cases from digital movie production and examples of moving images in mobile devices. Many innovative and influential contributors in the film and new media industries have been invited to the seminar. Among the speakers will be Jason Wishnow (New Venue), Peter Hoddie and Erkki Huhtamo (UCLA). The chairman of the seminar will be Jonathan Wells, the Director of Resfest, which is the main festival for digital film.
