Trash Film Festival is a showcase of Finnish independent cinema, or trash film, as it may be called. This year will be the third time it takes place during Tampere Film Festival. The first two sold-out Trash Film Festivals proved a resounding success. So far, up to 800 people have witnessed a carefully selected selection of Finnish independent cinema at its finest. Last year, out of the 90 films submitted, 27 were chosen for screening at the Trash Film Festival. These films represented a variety of genres, including action, sci-fi, comedy, drama and horror. This year's Trash Film Festival, held on Saturday, March 8th, will again attract the attention of both film buffs and professionals and is fully expected to repeat the success of past two years.
