Tampere Film Festival exports Finnish Short Films to Vietnam
Tampere Film Festival makes a significant cultural exchange effort by exporting Finnish short films to Vietnam National Film Festival. The event takes place in Ho Chi Minh City in Southern Vietnam 8th to 12th December.
The preliminary idea was born in Tampere March 2009 when Lai Van Sinh, executive director of Vietnam National Film Festival, attended Tampere Film Festival to present the internationally remarkable scheme of Vietnamese short film within the Vietnam.Now. program.
The exported screening has been assembled and implemented by Tampere Film Festival in co-operation with Finnish Film Foundation. Juhani Alanen, executive director of Tampere Film Festival, will introduce the screening to the Vietnamese audience.
The films to be exhibited are Between Dreams (2009), Deep Six (2007), Harvest Time (2006), Hanasaari A (2009), Curse of the Remote Island (2008) and Citizens (2008). Hanasaari A won Risto Jarva Prize and the Resource Award in National Competition in Tampere Film Festival 2009.
The next Tampere Film Festival takes place 10 to 14 March 2010.
